‘Let the beauty we love be what we do.’ Rumi
Jessie Friedman MA LPC CPCC
I have been in private practice as a master’s level, licensed psychotherapist in Boulder, CO since 1991 and also hold a master’s degree in Art History and Museum Studies. Additionally, I have trained extensively and am certified in several, distinct coaching modalities, among them the highly regarded CTI – The Coaches Training Institute. I have worked as a psychotherapist at the Department of Social Services with survivors of sexual abuse and non-offending parents and also with adolescents in the throes of great angst and destructive behaviors. My interests have also led me to work actively in the world of the arts, cultural preservation, and the translation of Tibetan literature. I have single-parented for the great majority of the past 35 years, and most close to my heart are my three beautiful children, now truly beautiful adults.
I am passionate about the qualities of being human, the diverse cultural expressions and beauty of our humanity, and the keys to unfolding an individual’s greatest potential, fulfillment, and wellbeing. Entirely secular, my practice of counseling, coaching, and psychotherapy is deeply rooted in my personal practice of meditation, which helps me to stay centered in an unbiased and unconditionally empathetic and accepting space, holding the inherent wisdom, yearnings, and wholeness of each individual as a guiding principle.
